Deux animateurs Education à l’Environnement

La CCPG déploie une stratégie d’éducation à l’environnement au sein de son Pôle Environnement et Développement Durable, constitué des services Gestion des Milieux Naturels (GMN), Réserve Naturelle Nationale (RNN) et Agriculture-Énergie-Climat (AEC) ; et ce à destination des scolaires et du grand public.

II-MISSIONS ASSURÉES

Sous l’autorité du coordinateur de l’EEDD, l’animateur/trice devra :

– Prendre connaissance et s’approprier le programme pédagogique du Pôle EDD auprès des scolaires et du grand public,

– Prendre connaissance et s’approprier le message spécifique à la réserve naturelle, le fonctionnement, les usages, la règlementation, …

– Participer à la mise en œuvre des animations scolaires de la RNN (3 thématiques : forêt, paysages, près-bois) et du service GMN (2 thématiques : corridors biologiques et contrat rivières),

– Accompagner la mise en œuvre des actions d’éducation à l’environnement auprès du grand public (Journée thématique, sortie nature, chantier participatif, etc.),

– Participer aux actions d’accueil du public : information, éducation et sensibilisation des différents publics aux préoccupations environnementales et à la préservation des espèces et des milieux,

– Contribuer à la réalisation du bilan des animations scolaires 2015,

III-PROFIL RECHERCHÉ ET COMPÉTENCES

– Titulaire d’un diplôme correspondant aux compétences recherchées (Eco-interprète, Animateur, etc.),

– Expérience indispensable dans le domaine de l’éducation à l’environnement, et plus particulièrement auprès du public scolaire,

– Connaissance des principes régissant une Réserve Naturelle Nationale et ses missions,

– Bonnes connaissances du patrimoine naturel (faune, flore, habitats),

– Connaissance des acteurs de la protection de la nature et de l’éducation à l’environnement (associations, organismes, …),

– Maîtrise de l’outil informatique nécessaire à la bonne réalisation des missions,

– Capacité d’observation, d’analyse et de gestion de situations délicates,

– Capacité d’écoute et pédagogique avec le public (jeunes et adultes),

– Capacité à organiser son travail et à s’inscrire dans une logique d’équipe,

– Sens du relationnel

– Rigueur professionnelle et autonomie

– Capacité d’organisation,

– Bonne condition physique.

Serait un plus :

– Connaissance du territoire de la Haute Chaîne du Jura, du Pays de Gex et de ses acteurs,

– Posséder le certificat de Prévention et Secours Civiques de niveau 1 (PSC1),

– Avoir le Brevet d’Aptitude aux Fonctions d’Animateur (BAFA).

Stage de Master 1. Les grands dauphins de la mer de la Manche : tester et valider une méthode de sexage

Contexte :

Le Groupe d’Etude des Cétacés du Cotentin, ou GECC, est une association basée à Cherbourg qui étudie la population des grands dauphins sédentaires de la mer de la Manche.

Le GECC a mis sur pied, avec l’aide de Pascal Monestiez (INRA), une méthode non invasive pour sexer ces animaux à partir de photographies d’ailerons.

Cette méthode offre un taux de réussite élevé mais ne permet de sexer que peu d’animaux.

Description du stage :

Ce stage a pour objectif de compléter et de valider la méthode de sexage mise en place par le GECC. Concrètement, il s’agit de faire varier les conditions sur lesquelles reposent cette méthode, afin d’en observer les répercussions sur le taux de réussite.

Ce stage comprend :

1. Une étude bibliographique destinée à valider et à compléter la bibliographie existante sur le sujet.

2. La réalisation d’une grille de lecture pour évaluer les variations de la méthode de sexage en fonction du taux de réussite choisi.

3. la rédaction d’un rapport en français et la préparation pour une éventuelle publication en anglais dans une revue scientifique.

Compétences requises :

Une bonne à très bonne maîtrise de l’anglais scientifique, lecture ET écriture.

Des compétences rédactionnelles solides en français.

Des notions statistiques (excel et R).

Remarques :

Cette offre concerne les étudiants en année de Master 1.

Il ne s’agit en aucun cas d’une offre d’emploi ou d’un stage de Master 2.

Ce stage ne prévoit pas de travail de terrain. Il repose sur un jeu de données déjà existant.

The research project is a collaboration between SHOAL group (www.shoalgroup.org) at Swansea University, UK, and the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Our focus for 2015 is to investigate (a) the energetic costs and consequences of baboon behaviour, and (b) the spatial-temporal distribution of baboon resources and risks.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We are looking for volunteer field assistants for THREE months, from April to July 2015. Fieldwork will involve direct observation of wild, habituated baboons on foot, and some vegetation and wider environmental monitoring activities related to the baboons' space use. There will also be opportunity for volunteers to participate to the preparation of in-house designed collars containing various movement sensors, and assist with the capture and collaring of baboons. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate anyone wishing to collect data as part of MSc or BSc projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Volunteers are generally expected to be graduates with a good degree in the biological sciences. This project is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to gain experience of field research before commencing a PhD. Applicants should be physically fit, enthusiastic and hard working. Previous experience of fieldwork is a bonus, but a good sense of organisation, personal skills and experience collecting behavioural data are essential. A full driving licence is needed.

CONDITIONS

Volunteers will be appointed as visiting researchers at SHOAL group, Swansea University, and will be issued University e-mail address, staff card, library access and full insurance for the fieldwork. The project will contribute a minimum of £500 towards the costs of your flight and living expenses in South Africa. Work-related travel costs in South Africa will be paid by the project. All data collected will be the property of the University of Swansea and the University of Cape Town.

Description

Ce stage vise à étudier le comportement d’un groupe de jeunes perruches calopsittes (Nymphicus hollandicus) lors de protocoles visant à tester le partage alimentaire, l’empathie (la capacité à identifier et remédier aux états émotionnels de l’autre) et la contagion émotionnelle. Les animaux devront aussi être familiarisés à certains objets nouveaux, de nombreuses sessions d’entrainement seront donc nécessaires au bon déroulement des protocoles.

Il sera demandé au stagiaire de passer du temps avec les oiseaux, de prendre part à la réalisation des expériences, et d’analyser d’anciennes sessions préalablement filmées.

You could put your research project management experience and expertise in canine olfaction research to national use as you lead projects and commission research that uncovers new canine detection capabilities.

At the Department for Transport (DfT), we lead on transport security policy and regulation for the UK.  Our Research, Analysis and Development (RAD) Team manages research to develop the scientific evidence base needed for policy development in this area.  Drawing on the outputs, the team advises DfT and wider government colleagues on technology and techniques used to counter the terrorist threat to transport security.

Besides offering day-to-day guidance, the team provides technical advice on security measures in fast-moving situations. Against that background, you’ll be analysing or commissioning research to give clear advice within short timescales, and leading for DfT across Whitehall in canine science and related technology discussions.

You’ll lead, contribute and drive engagement with partners across government, the transport industry and security technology providers to develop all aspects of canine detection capability. It will see you scope and deliver high quality research, liaise with customers with regard to progress and outputs, and provide the highest quality support and technical advice to transport security colleagues. All of which will involve working closely with other departments including intelligence and security agencies, international partners, transport operators and canine providers.

You will probably have developed your knowledge of canine detection from a law enforcement or private security background. Together with a degree in a scientific or technical area, you’ll have experience of international engagement. You’ll also be familiar with the application of scientific analysis and/or technology development in transport security or counter-terrorism applications.
