Hiring Organization: AAP sanctuary for exotic animals
Position Description:
In this extremely challenging and unique position, you will be directly involved in the rehabilitation of the animals that have found sanctuary at AAP. You will analyse behavioural data, which has been collected by the animal carers. You will supervise them not only with respect to the development of observational skills, but also drawing up treatment plans for the animals. You will advise the team leaders from various animal care departments and confer with other specialists, such as the veterinarian and the head of the cluster.
You will be in charge of the behavioural staff department and manage a behaviourist and housing coordinator. With your expertise, you will contribute to the content and thus the policymaking with regard to ethology and will also produced scientific articles.
Qualifications/Experience:
Affinity with AAP’s goals and the NGO sector * completed ethology diploma * a minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant work experience * fluency in both Dutch and English * strong social and managerial skills * objective, honest and independent * a business-like and practical result-oriented attitude.
Salary/funding:
A salary between € 2.586,03 and a maximum of € 3.620,44 (gross on basis of 40 hour week) depending on age and experience.
