MRes in Equine Cognition
The
aim of this project is to develop and validate a new equine operant
touch screen system in order to establish a battery of cognitive tests
to probe function and dysfunction of the equine brain. The tests will
specifically focus on assessing the relationship between the hippocampal
(memory and spatial context) and the basal ganglia (action selection
and motivation) brain systems. Candidates much have as strong
understanding of learning theory, have practical experience in handling
horses and have an aptitude for learning computer coding. Please see
