A Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jochen Ditterich at the Center for Neuroscience, University of California, Davis, for studying the neural mechanisms of flexible decision making.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experiments involving simultaneous extracellular recordings from multiple cortical areas and for analyzing the obtained behavioral and neurophysiological data. The candidate will further be involved in the presentation and publication of the results. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline and be proficient in spoken and written English.
Prior experience in systems neuroscience research, in particular in vivo extracellular recordings, and programming experience (MATLAB, in particular) would be valuable.
