Recruiting 2 research assistant

 Research assistant at the Sensorimotor lab - Champalimaud Foundation (Lisbon) 


The laboratory of Sensorimotor Integration at the Champalimaud Research Programme has two one-year opening positions (with possible extension) available for a project investigating multimodal integration for movement control in the context of visually guided locomotion in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster.

We are seeking for motivated, and highly organised young colleagues, preferentially recently graduated (BS and/or MSc levels) who are looking for a short-term experience within a systems neuroscience lab to assist in two separate aspects of our work: behavioural assays and anatomical analysis. The positions involved assisting the lab with experiments exploring the anatomy and function of different genetically identified populations of neurons. Principal responsibilities include: 1) Conducting anatomical studies with state-of-the-art tools, and generating and maintaining specific fly lines in collaboration with other members of the lab 2) assisting with behavioral assays in collaboration with other members of the lab, 3) participation in laboratory meetings
