Position Description:
The International Institute for Biomedical Research collaborates with several institutions to provide contract research for the study of various drugs and devices in nonhuman primates. This new position requires interest in integrative physiology and/or pharmacology and/or veterinary medicine in a research setting. The focus of the research is on new and developing agents addressing obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and regenerative medicine. The research also involves collaborations with multiple investigators both nationally and internationally. Applicants with laboratory experience working with nonhuman primates are to be preferred, however, others seeking such experience will be considered. The position is for 1 year with renewal possible.

Qualifications/Experience:
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in a biological science or a DVM or MD equivalent. Research experience is expected. Computer skills and the ability to analyze data and to draft research papers are expected. The position is expected to lead to publications and presentations of results of studies.

Salary/funding:
Dependent on education and experience.

Term of Appointment:
One year, renewable
