Our collaborative team (FishEye Collaborative and Cornell University) is hiring a research assistant for a project working on audio and video analysis of coral reef fishes.

is seeking dedicated and intellectually engaged Research Assistant to join a multi-organizational team to analyze audio and video of coral reef fishes. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and background in reef fish behavior, ichthyology, coral reef science, marine biology, or bioacoustics. This role involves complex workflows using a combination of commercial and custom software, requiring a meticulous and detail-oriented individual. The position contributes to developing techniques for monitoring fisheries and marine protected areas. The position is in-person and based in Arlington, Virginia, USA.

FishEye Collaborative is a new nonprofit biological research organization committed to improving how fisheries managers, governments, communities, and NGOs gather and utilize acoustic data for more effective resource management decision making.
