The
study animal for this project is the pipefish Nerophis ophidion,
which is a species of fish with strikingly ornamented females, but some
mathematical modelling will also be included. The PhD studies will be
based at University of Gothenburg while field
work will be carried out at Kristineberg marine research station, 100
km north of Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast.
