Position Description:
2 volunteer field positions available in Yasuni National Park, Ecuador. The project is comparing primate behaviour between two sites, and volunteers will stay at Estacion Cientifica Yasuni (http://www.biologia.puce.edu.ec/natura.php?c=226) and Tiputini Biodiversity Station (http://www.usfq.edu.ec/tiputini/).
The position involves early morning starts to compare titi monkey dawn choruses at the two sites, and searching the forest for primate groups and recording their reactions when encountered. Working hours are approximately 4.30am - 11.30am 5 days per week. A minimum commitment of 10 days is required, but volunteers can stay for as long as they like.
Both positions require full physical and mental health, yellow fever vacination and the ability to work in remote conditions. Previous field experience and / or experience working with primates is highly desired.
No salary is available, the cost of volunteering $28 per day, which includes accomodation and 3 meals per day. Transport to the field site costs $150 - 250 round trip from Quito, depending of method of transport.

Qualifications/Experience:
BSc biology / anthropology or related subject
Spanish language skills very useful!
