Applications are sought for a University funded postdoctoral position in Anuran Acoustics under Prof Louis du Preez (Louis.duPreez@nwu.ac.za), North-West University, Potchefstroom, South Africa.
Project Details: The applicant has to have experience in the field of anuran acoustics. A specific project will be negotiated with the candidate with a selected amount of freedom to run his/her own project. Duties will involve co-supervision of post-graduate studies. In short the candidate has to add value to the AACRG (African Amphibian Conservation Research Group) in our objective of establishing a research focus in the field of anuran communication. Duration: The Initial contract will be for one year, but can be extended on a yearly basis contingent on satisfactory performance.
Qualifications: The candidate should have a Ph.D. in biological sciences, and a good publication record with papers in peer-reviewed journals. Experience in the field of acoustics is mandatory.
