PhD opportunity in gut brain axis and primate cognition

 Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD in primate gut-brain axis and cognition based at Liverpool John Moores University. Supervisors: Dr Emily Bethell, Dr Mirko Pegoraro and Dr Fatima Perez de Heredia.
The PhD will involve running cognitive tasks with primates as well as analysis of dietary and gut microbiome data. We invite students to develop their own ideas around this topic.

Criteria: a good BSc and MSc in a relevant area. UK/EU citizens only.

Deadline for initial applications: 31st August 2020, midnight. Please email a cover letter and CV to E.J.Bethell@ljmu.ac.uk<mailto:E.J.Bethell@ljmu.ac.uk>. The cover letter should be a maximum of 2 sides of A4 and should explain your interest in the topic and demonstrate your skill set relevant to the post. This is a two-part process and the selected application will be invited to apply for a second assessment round with a mid-September deadline.
