As part of a recently funded project, I currently have funds available for a doctoral studentship on the comparative anatomy of the mammalian larynx. This will centre on the Harrison Collection held at ARU in Cambridge, UK, and we are now inviting applications (open to any nationality).
The project will use laboratory and computational techniques, including diffusible iodine-based contrast-enhanced computed tomography (dice-CT), geometric morphometrics (GMM), and phylogenetic comparative methods (PCM) for evolutionary modelling. Laboratory work will be conducted at ARU, and CT scanning will take place at the University of Cambridge.
Please see the linked advert for more details, and please disseminate to any of your students/lab alumni who may be interested. Please also feel free to forward to any relevant colleagues.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong technical skillset, including image processing, R scripting, comparative methods, anatomy, or bioacoustics.
This studentship provides a full stipend for 3 years, and all fees are covered regardless of nationality. The studentship also covers research costs.
For any further queries, candidates are encouraged to contact me in advance of applying (jacob.dunn@aru.ac.uk).
