Position Description:
We are seeking candidates for a PhD position in the laboratory of Professors Louise Barrett and Peter Henzi, Department of Psychology, University of Lethbridge. The successful candidate will undertake a study of maternal investment, life-history strategies and behavioural plasticity in vervet monkeys. Fieldwork will be conducted at the Samara Game Reserve, South Africa, and the project may also include comparative analyses of long-term data on baboons.
Qualifications/Experience:
Applicants should hold an appropriate Masters-level degree in psychology, biology or anthropology. Relevant field experience would be an asset.
Salary/funding:
Funding will be at standard Canadian rates; sufficient for living expenses and fees.
The successful applicant will be expected to serve as a teaching assistant when not in the field.
