A graduate student position (PhD preferred) is available for a student to explore piglet gas euthanasia technology in the Veterinary Diagnostic & Production Animal Medicine department. The ideal candidate has interests in animal welfare research and in the swine industry/livestock production, has strong organization and writing skills, and works well in a team environment. Livestock experience is an asset, but is not required. The project supported by the National Pork Board and USDA, with secured funding for 3 years. Expected start date is Spring or Fall 2012. Graduate students may enroll in Biomedical Sciences (Veterinary Physiology), Neuroscience or Preventive Veterinary Medicine programs.
