We are searching for 2 PhD students to study study the functions of ultrasonic vocalizations in wild house mice.
Applicants should have a strong background in behavioral biology, bioacoustics, or both, and ideal applicants would have experience with rodents, programing (C++) and/or statistical analyses. Good writing and communication skills in English are necessary, and a BSc (or equivalent) degree is required.The positions are funded for three years (funded by the Austrian National Science Fund, FWF).
We are an international institute, operating in English and German (German is useful but not necessary), located in the Vienna Woods, only 30-min from the center of Vienna, which is ranked as the most livable city in the world.
