Our animal behaviour and welfare students do so through a combination
of classroom and laboratory learning and real life experience in our
Unitec Small Animal Unit, zoos, the SPCA and other animal industries.
The purpose of your role
As our Lecturer in Animal Welfare, you'll deliver high quality
classroom, clinic, laboratory and field-based learning related to animal
behaviour and welfare within our Environmental and Animal Sciences
pathway (how we describe departments). You'll ensure better student
outcomes by engaging and supporting students in their learning, ideally
across all of our animal behaviour and welfare courses from certificate
to degree level.

Your experience
You'll have demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience in animal behaviour and welfare.
You will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant area (preference may be given to applicants who have a PhD).
Teaching experience in teaching adult learners.
A record of producing peer-reviewed publications and the capability to develop a research programme.
