Studentship: £13,290 per annum plus £1000 research expenses per annum for 3 years
Starting: 3 October 2011

Applications are invited for up to two fully funded full-time PhD studentships in Psychology at the University of Portsmouth. Applications are welcomed in any area complementing our existing research activities in: Situated Action and Communication; Comparative and Evolutionary Psychology; Quality of Life, Health and Well-Being, and Forensic Psychology.

The studentships will be funded for three years and include tuition fees and a maintenance grant (£13,290 in 2010/11. 2011/12 grant amount to be confirmed). Students will also receive £1000 per year for research and conference expenses, as well as office space and personal computing facilities.

Applicants will have a Bachelors degree in Psychology or a related discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent). Preference may be given to applicants with a Masters (or equivalent) with a research component or a first class Bachelors degree.
