Postdoctoral position in songbird neuroethology, University of Massachusetts

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available at the University of Massachusetts to study the neural and neuroendocrine control of natural behavior. Several project themes are currently available, including a focus on the neuromodulatory regulation of auditory forebrain neuronal excitability. Using the songbird model system, our research combines highly sensitive, in vivo measures of neurochemistry with electrophysiological, biochemical, histological, and molecular approaches. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and training in neuroscience and/or neuroendocrinology. Previous methodological experience with either in vivo microdialysis or electrophysiology is preferred. For more information on the laboratory visit our website: http://www.umass.edu/healeylab
