My group has an exciting postdoc
looking at modelling ecosystems with limited information and
understanding the risk of perverse outcomes from conservation actions at
an ecosystem level. The project is a partnership with the Nature
Conservancy California, Department of Parks and Wildlife in Western
Australia and Parks Australia at Booderee National Park in New South
Wales, as well as the University of Western Australia (Dr Nicola
Mitchell) and Imperial College London (Prof Mark Burgman).
Our
group focusses on Complex Environmental Decisions and has a diverse
group of postdocs and students from ecology, physics, maths and decision
science (http://x-ed.net/).
