Postdoctoral position on eye tracking in children, Paris Descartes University, France

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory Vision Action Cognition (dir. Pr. Karine Doré-Mazars) at Paris Descartes University - Institut de Psychologie in France. The position is funded by the French National Research Funding Agency (ANR). The project is coordinated by Dr. Nadia Alahyane and aims at characterizing the developmental trajectory of saccadic eye movement control during the first years of life.

Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology or Neuroscience or a related field, with less than 3 years of post-doctoral experience.
Applicants should have a strong background on oculomotor control. Knowledge in child development is a plus.

The project requires to test children in nurseries and schools, therefore French and communication skills are mandatory. English skills are required for the communication of results and publications.

The successful candidate will run the tests, contact the nurseries and schools, write the papers and disseminate results, and will have the opportunity to supervise students, in close collaboration with Dr Alahyane.

The expected starting date is January 2018 but is negotiable. The initial period is 1 year, with the possibility of one additional year.

Salary is based on the Paris Descartes University payment grid for employees with less than 3 years of experience: about €1900 net/month.
