Project:
Investigate using state-of-the-art genomic and molecular tools the effects and mechanisms of action of emerging contaminants (flame retardants) on the thyroid axis of birds
Information:
Scholarship provided for 4 years. Possibility of supplementary financial support from the Faculty.
Collaboration between UQAM (Dr Jonathan Verreault) and Environment Canada (Dr Magali Houde)
Fieldwork and lab-based experiments
Exigences:
- M.Sc. requirements fulfilled
- Expertise in animal physiology and environmental toxicology
- Experience with basic molecular techniques and tools
