ERC-funded postdoctoral fellowship in multisensory perception of space
Research in the Active Perception Lab at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC) focuses on spatiotemporal perception of objects, events and scenes. Of particular interest is how perceptual information is integrated over time and across different spatial coordinate systems.

In particular, I am looking for someone to set up multisensory stimulation (auditory-visual-tactile) studies that can be extended also to fMRI and/or EEG/MEG. This project is part of an ERC-funded project on “Construction of perceptual space-time” and will run for five years.
The Center for Mind/Brain Sciences at the University of Trento is a very nice place to work. It offers an international and vibrant research setting with state-of-the-art neuroimaging methodologies,
including a research-only MRI scanner, MEG, EEG and TMS, as well as behavioral, eye tracking and motion tracking laboratories. The Center has particular strength in perception and action, including multisensory perception (Olivier Collignon, Christoph Braun, Francesco Pavani, Massimiliano Zampini…).
The University of Trento is ranked first among research universities in Italy, and the Trentino region is consistently at the top for quality of life and for the most efficient services in Italy. English is the official language of the CIMeC, where a large proportion of the faculty, post-docs and students come from outside of Italy.
