Education/Experience
- BS in Animal Science or other related field
- 6mo+ experience dosing and collecting samples from primates and/or rodents
- Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Preferred AALAS certification ALAT or above
Job Description
Research Associates work under the direct guidance of the Program Manager and the general guidance of the head of Operations and the Scientists. Research Associates are proficient in animal procedures/animal husbandry, grant, internal, and/or contract research studies according to the study protocols and to the company guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Duties
- Dose animals via require routes in a study environment. (IV, IM, SQ, PO etc)
- Collect blood and tissue samples at required timepoints as described in study protocols
- Report unexpected or adverse reactions to veterinary staff
- Collect, process, and collate data as required by the protocol
- Properly package and ship samples to the clients as requested
- Other duties as assigned
