A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. The start date for the position is flexible (Jan 2013- 2014). This is one year appointment with a second year of funding available, contingent on adequate progress. The postdoctoral scientist will collaborate on a project of his/her own design that draws upon the Pruitt lab existing interest in the ecological and evolutionary implications of animal personalities. The postdoctoral scientist is expected to develop an independent line of research, and collaborate in the development of an NSF pre-proposal pertaining to his or her project. Applicants should not feel constrained to any particular study system. The creativity and feasibility of the proposed research will be the major selection criteria.
