We
are currently advertising for a Research Assistant to join the canine
epilepsy research group at RVC, to work on two new BBSRC funded projects
exploring the impact of epilepsy on canine welfare, and the interface
between epilepsy and other affective and neurodevelopmental disorders
(using a variety of methods including EEG, MRI and behavioural/cognitive
testing).
The
role will primarily involve recruitment of study clients, collection of
behavioural data, and managing and analysing data and samples taken as
part of the research.
We
are looking for a scientist with an undergraduate degree in animal
behaviour, veterinary sciences or a veterinary clinical or nursing
qualification.
Candidates with further qualifications (MSc, MRes, PhD) are welcome to
apply.
Excellent communication skills are essential for working with study clients, clinical staff and scientific collaborators.
