The Mammal Society is holding its 6th Student Conference at the University of Newcastle on Friday 16th June.
The conference, which is run by students for students, is an ideal
opportunity for early career
researchers to network with their peers, find out about careers in
mammal research/conservation, and to present their research findings in a
fun, friendly atmosphere. The conference is followed by a workshop on
field-skills (including small mammal trapping,
badger surveys and deer tracking) on Saturday 17th June with Northumbria Natural History Society.
Please
do highlight this opportunity to your students, both post-graduate and
undergraduate. There are prizes for the best talk and poster, and the
price of attendance is just £25 or £15 for Mammal Society members. The
closing date for abstracts is 5th May, and further details can be found
